When they call to me, I will answer them.— Psalm 91:15
On Easter Sunday, our congregation will receive the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. Feeding the hungry through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, helping people build up their livelihoods through the Self Development of People, and responding to disasters through the Presbyterian Disaster Relief program, offer ways that your gift will change lives, change communities – and change the world.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and the Self-Development of People (SDOP) each receive 32 percent of the OGHS offering, and The Presbyterian Hunger Program (PHP) receives 36 percent of undesignated OGHS gifts. Our congregation has worked on PDA projects in Jamaica, Queens and New Orleans, as well as in the Fair Food Campaign of the Presbyterian Hunger Program. We know personally how these programs depend on funds from OGHS for their existence. Please answer their call for help with your gifts and prayers.
You can use the envelopes in the pews and make the checks payable to “Setauket Presbyterian Church” with the notation of “One Great Hour of Sharing” in the memo section.
