Take a journey with our church family for Lent.
We gather on Wednesdays from 6 pm – 7:30 pm for a simple soup and bread supper, fellowship around a Lenten topic, and a brief closing worship.
This year, beginning on February 21, we invite you to join us for informal table conversations around the faith issues that unite and challenge us as presented is a series of brief videos called “Nooma”. NOOMA is a series of short films promoting spiritual reflections on individual life experiences. The name NOOMA comes from a phonetic spelling of the Greek word πνευμα, meaning “wind”, “spirit”, or “breath”. All ten to fourteen minutes in length, the NOOMA videos feature Rob Bell, pastor of Michigan’s Mars Hill Church, one of the fastest-growing churches in America, and a leader in the “emergent church.” Our series begins with the video, “Noise: “Why is silence so hard to deal with?” Other themes we will discuss are:
“Luggage: It isn’t always easy to forgive.”
“Breathe: Our physical breath is actually a picture of a deeper spiritual reality.”
“Open: What if there’s more to prayer than just God listening and answering?”
“Tomato: Do we try so hard to live the perfect life that we miss out on how to truly live?”
